I wish I could give this complex ZERO stars. The management do not care about the safety of their residents at this complex. They moved a dangerous roommate into my unit who broke our complex-issued TV, put holes in walls and doors, and also broke into my room and destroyed a few of my belongings. They merely put him there in order to fill rooms and meet a quota for residents. This roommate was clearly not of sound mind, but the management did not care. He was not removed and/or evicted until he was arrested. For your own sake (and your wallet's sake), LIVE ELSEWHERE.

Management Changed for the BETTER!!
I've lived at The 9 Central Florida for a while, and I can honestly say that things have improved significantly since the management change. One of the biggest differences is that residents actually feel heard now. Concerns are addressed promptly, communication is much better, and it's clear that the team genuinely cares about creating a positive living experience.
A huge shoutout to Alyssa, the Leasing Manager. She is incredibly helpful, professional, and always goes above and beyond for residents. Whether it's answering questions, resolving concerns, or simply making people feel welcome, she consistently delivers excellent customer service and truly cares about the community. Alyssa has brought such positive energy to the property, and it shows in the way residents are treated and supported.
The Community Assistants are also amazing. They are friendly, approachable, and always willing to help. Every interaction I've had with them has been positive, and they do a great job making residents feel valued. They work hard to create a welcoming environment and are a big part of what makes the community feel like home.
Matt, the Community Manager, deserves recognition as well. It's refreshing to have leadership that listens to resident feedback and takes action when issues arise. Matt does a great job addressing concerns, communicating with residents, and making sure issues are resolved. You can tell that he is invested in improving the property and creating a better experience for everyone who lives here.
Overall, the atmosphere has become much more positive, responsive, and resident-focused. Since the management change, we have felt like our concerns are actually being answered and that our voices matter. If you're looking for student housing where management genuinely cares and works hard to address concerns, The 9 Central Florida has been a great experience.

They have so many cockroach problems and ants. Their elevator has been broken for 2 weeks now and there’s always issues with my apartment. For the very expensive rent price do not live here. Also they have stupid rules and no parking ever. I am not the only one who hates it here READ THE REVIEWS.

Pretty, but has many problems.
The Nine boasts attractive features but is marred by considerable issues, especially concerning construction quality and management efficiency:
Amenity Problems: Initially, grills lacked propane for months, and despite sporadic refills, they remain frequently unusable. Similar issues affect amenities like the coffee maker and printer, often out of service or lacking supplies promptly.
Dishwasher Issues: My dishwasher was non-functional initially due to a water supply issue, which leaked into the unit below. Despite maintenance deeming it faulty and leaving it off, I fixed it myself by tightening the water line after waiting a week.
Elevator Outage: One elevator remained non-operational for six months, causing significant inconvenience. While The Nine blamed the elevator company, an apology was warranted.
Parking Shortage: There's insufficient parking for residents and guests, exacerbated by a new lease clause preventing collective legal action regarding this issue.
Trash Management: Trash piled up initially, with management blaming residents, though inadequate setup to handle garbage was evident.
Noise and Structural Issues: Poor sound insulation and construction flaws, like uneven doors and slanted balconies, detract from comfort and safety.
Incomplete Maintenance: Hallway repairs lacked proper finishing, leaving visible screw lines and unfinished painting.
Fire Alarm Disruptions: Fire alarms frequently go off, including late hours, some due to tenant actions or faulty systems, requiring a more proactive response from management.
Bathroom Design Flaws: Some units have impractical bathtub designs with faucets placed inconveniently, with management offering no solutions.
Persistent Leaks: Multiple leaks, including one causing a flood and mold issues, persist due to inadequate maintenance responses.
Security Concerns: Faulty locks and unresolved graffiti compromise security and aesthetics.
Construction Debris: Construction materials clutter public areas like the garage, despite available storage rooms.
In conclusion, despite its newness, The Nine suffers from numerous maintenance, design, and management issues that significantly impact residents' living experience.
