This apartment complex falls short on various fronts. The persistent unavailability of the lease office, combined with the overwhelming weed and cigarette odors, creates an unpleasant living environment. The widespread roach infestation, extending to outlets and appliances, indicates significant hygiene issues. The frequent staff turnover and lack of resident engagement contribute to a sense of neglect. Poor communication and a consistently full, broken trash compactor add to the frustration.... The prevalence of domestic disputes, physical altercations, and ongoing drug deals in the parking lots raises serious safety concerns. Additionally, the inadequate pet waste facilities and mailbox thefts further detract from the overall living experience.

Retreat at Valencia is a joke of a company. I lived at Retreat at Valencia apartment homes for 2 years and from the get go, their has been poor management here. The office staff does not know how to do anything and is horrible at communicating.
The office people at Retreat at Valencia never answer their phones when I call during business hours and after multiple attempts of calling at different times, I often leave a detailed voice mail where I never get a call back unless you sound angry... .documents that they require, they all was seem to go missing or have incorrect information. Also while living there, I was quite surprised that they have not gotten fined by someone for all of the moutains of trash that is left out side of the trash compactor (it always seems to be boken) for multiple days where cockroches and rats are thriving.
While I was trying to leave this horrid place, the office staff could not find my notice to vacate, that I submitted to them the day prior, and while trying to get my rental history with them, some how they could not find my in the system at all (again, I have been living at Valencia for 2 years). To top this off they also had incorrect about my forwarding address where it wasn't even close to the address on the paperwork that I hand delivered to them.
Retreat at Valencia is a horrible place to live due to the incompetent staff. The overall living in the apartment was ok except for the carpeting that last for all of a couple months with out much foot traffic, the constant maintenance requests you have to make due to water leaks, faulty electrical outlets, toilets constantly running, and ac unit problems. But hey, it's ok! They will just send you a unclear, misleading, passive-aggressive letter or email blaming you and other residents. Oh! Just incase you are unsure about your safety here at Retreat at Valencia apartment homes, since my 2 years of being here there has been a murder, a dug house that was never busted, and a shooting within an area of 3 of the apartment buildings, but it's ok because there are police pulling up to someone's apartment about twice a week with someone in cuffs. They left no letters or emails to do something about the safety of the residents and the gate to get into the apartment complex is open 24/7.
I truly regret living at Retreat at Valencia. It has been nothing but trouble and headaches with incompetent passive-aggressive staff. If you are thinking about living here please don't. It is not worth it. Read More
